Our onsite watch repair and services include:
Rolex watch Servicing
Battery replacement
If your timepiece has a quartz movement, we will need to replace its "cell" or battery an average of every 18 months for the life of the watch.
Water resistance testing
Water resistance is the ability of your timepiece to withstand immersion in water and is rated in meters, feet or atmospheres. The older a watch gets the less water-resistant it becomes. If your lifestyle brings you in contact with any moisture at all including humidity in the air, perspiration, or immersion in any liquid, we can regularly check the watch.
Water resistance seal replacement
If your watch is water resistant, our watchmaker will replace the rubber seals in the case, crown and case tube. Such work can usually be performed quickly and will not normally require the watch to be left with us for more than 24 hours. Once the work has been performed, your watch will be fully tested to ensure that it is water resistant before it leaves our master watchmaker’s care. If your watch requires a stem and crown or other parts to make it water resistant, we will notify you immediately and will do everything we can to expedite repairs.
Bracelet cleaning
The most common item to wear out on any watch is the bracelet. One of the most important reasons we ask you to bring your timepiece in every six months as part of your extended warranty is to clean the bracelet. Dirt gets in between the bracelet links, acts as an abrasive, and causes the bracelet to stretch and wear out.
Crystal Replacement
Watch crystals are never covered by the manufacturer’s warranty but are covered by the Alson Extended Timepiece Warranty. If a crystal fails for any reason during normal wear on any watch purchased at Alson Jewelers during the warranty period, our watchmaker will replace it for you at no charge.
Factory Repairs
Most watch repairs can be completed onsite in our Cleveland, Ohio watch repair shop. Alson will only send your watch to the manufacturer for repairs with your permission and under the following circumstances: 1.The watch is still under the manufacturer's warranty or 2. The manufacturer will not sell Alson the parts needed to repair the watch onsite. Factory repairs typically require four to eight weeks to complete but may take longer pending the volume of work at the manufacturer at the time of your repair and the availability of parts. Alson will make every effort to get your watch back from the manufacturer as quickly as possible and will provide cost estimates to you if and when the vendor provides them.
Don't wait another second to have your watch inspected. We’ll have it working like new in no time!
