HOW THEY MET:

They met on Hinge in their favorite city, Chicago. Shortly after their first date, Saskia moved into the same building Matt was living in. A special connection formed early on, especially when Saskia, whos originally from South Africa, found out Matt had visited her home country twice. On one of their early dates, Saskia confidently told Matt she was going to marry him. They got engaged in Chicago and a year later, celebrated their wedding in Cape Town, South Africa.

THE PROPOSAL STORY:

Saskia was out to dinner with friends in Chicago, unaware that Matt had planned a surprise proposal on the rooftop of the restaurant. After the meal, she was stunned to see Matt waiting there, holding the Alson ring they had designed together with Alex Lester.

THE RING:

Both Matt and Saskia had their rings custom-designed with Alson. Saskia's engagement ring features a 3-carat elongated radiant diamond, flanked by two baguettes. Her wedding band is a stunning eternity ring with alternating oval and emerald-cut stones together, they make the most beautiful pair.
